Hormone Therapy for Women
Perimenopause & Menopause Care at Moxie Health
If you’ve found yourself thinking, “Is this just stress… or am I losing my mind?”—you’re not alone.
At Moxie Health, we specialize in hormone therapy for women, with a focus on perimenopause and
menopause. Our goal is to help you understand what’s happening in your body and restore balance
where appropriate. This is thoughtful, evidence-based care. At Moxie Health, we help women
reclaim their energy, confidence, and vitality through personalized bioidentical hormone therapy.
Our goal is simple: help you feel like you again—and maybe even better.
What Is Perimenopause?
Perimenopause is the natural transition before menopause when hormone levels begin to fluctuate. It often starts in a woman’s late 30s or 40s and can last several years. During this time, many women notice changes such as irregular periods, poor sleep, mood changes, brain fog, hot flashes, weight gain, and lower energy.
These symptoms are common, but they are often misunderstood or dismissed.
At Moxie Health, we evaluate hormones, metabolism, sleep, and lifestyle to create a plan tailored to your body. Our goal is to help you regain balance, improve symptoms, and support long-term health so you can feel strong and vibrant.
What Is
Menopause?
Menopause is defined as 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. At this stage, estrogen and progesterone levels have declined more consistently, and symptoms may persist or evolve.
For some women, menopause is manageable. For others, it’s exhausting. Both experiences are valid—and both deserve appropriate care.
Targeted
Symptom Relief
Women seek hormone therapy for many different
reasons. At Moxie Health, we commonly evaluate
and treat symptoms associated with
perimenopause and menopause.
- Hot flashes and night sweats
- Fatigue and low energy
- Brain fog and difficulty concentrating
- Mood changes, irritability, or anxiety
- Sleep disruption or insomnia
- Weight gain or changes in body composition
- Low libido or sexual discomfort
- Joint aches or increased stiffness
- Feeling “off” (a very real symptom)
Even when labs appear normal, we know numbers don’t tell the whole story — so if you don’t feel normal, we listen closely and take it seriously.
Our Approach to Hormone
Therapy for Women
At Moxie Health, hormone therapy is never one-size-fits-all. We take time to review your
symptoms, medical history, risk factors, and goals before discussing treatment options. We
believe hormone therapy should be effective, flexible, and fit into real life. At Moxie Health, we
focus on options that are evidence-based and customizable.
Our women’s hormone therapy options include:
Estrogen (Estradiol)
Estrogen is essential for bone, brain, and heart health. We offer transdermal (patch, gel, cream) or local (vaginal cream/tablet/ring) estrogen to help alleviate hot flashes, vaginal dryness, brain fog, joint aches
Progesterone
When appropriate, we most commonly prescribe oral micronized progesterone capsules which support:
- Sleep
- Mood
- Cycle regulation
Testosterone
Compounded testosterone cream for additional support:
- Energy
- Libido
- Muscle strength
- Mental clarity
Personalized Options
Some women are interested in other hormone delivery methods. We’re always happy to discuss alternatives, review the pros and cons, and decide together what makes sense for you.
What Hormone Therapy Is Not
Let’s clear this up:- It’s not anti-aging magic
- It’s not a personality replacement
- It’s not about chasing perfect lab numbers
- And it’s definitely not a supplement for healthy diet, exercise and self care
What We Don’t Offer
(And Why)
We’re intentional about what we don’t provide. We do not offer hormone shots or pellets for women.
These options can limit dose flexibility and make adjustments difficult once they’re in your body. At Moxie Health, we prefer approaches that allow us to start low, adjust thoughtfully, and respond to how you feel over time.
Getting Your
Moxie Back
Perimenopause and menopause don’t mean the end of feeling strong, focused, or confident. With the right support, many women feel better than they have in years.
At Moxie Health, we help women move through this transition with clarity, care, and steady support—so you can feel like yourself again.
